GUPCO Rehabilitation offshore Project

Client: Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) Rehabilitation of BP offshore facilities including steel structural platforms, topside facilities and subsea pipelines. The offshore facilities consist of 9 complexes & 69 satellites (with an overall count of 119 platforms and 400 wells) and 1600 km of sub-sea pipelines. The aim of the overall rehabilitation project was to make sure that the whole system could safely operate for at least additional 25 years maintaining the best possible operating conditions and capacities. A qualitative risk based approach had been followed for the whole 119 platforms in order to evaluate the hazard of structural failure.
